BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College football team will have three of its games featured on regional television this year, with two home games and one road contest airing on KDKA+ and CBS News Pittsburgh. This continues a four-year pattern for the Golden Tornadoes, who have had at least two of their games broadcast on the Pittsburgh television station each season dating back to 2023.

The Golden Tornadoes are coming off their best season since 2009, having earned a berth in the ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl and finishing the season with a 6-5 overall record, 6-2 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play. Senior quarterback Caleb Romano put together one of the greatest campaigns under center in program history, and the Geneva football team is poised for another positive season underneath first-year head coach Tom Contenta.

Geneva is featured three times on KDKA+'s slate of NCAA Division III football games this year, with home games against Widener and Westminster and a road matchup at W&J to be broadcast regionally. The first of those is the Golden Tornadoes' home opener against Widener on September 5^th, the first game of Contenta's head coaching career. Geneva traveled to the Philadelphia area to play Widener in last year's opener, falling behind early to the Pride before playing them evenly the rest of the way. Coach Contenta's group will be looking to reverse the result this time around.

The GTs travel to W&J for their second KDKA+ game, playing the Presidents on October 3^rd. W&J is coming off back-to-back PAC championship-winning seasons, as well as two straight automatic bids to the NCAA Division III playoffs. The Presidents played spoiler last year in coach Geno DeMarco's final home game, defeating Geneva late in the season on Reeves Field.

Geneva's final game scheduled to be broadcast on KDKA+ is against long-time rival Westminster, on October 17^th. Geneva and Westminster did not meet last season, marking the first time since 2006 that the two schools did not play each other. One of the oldest rivalries in college football, the GTs and Titans first competed against each other in 1891, and this year's game on Reeves Field provides a fitting end to Geneva's television slate this season.
