BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Geneva men's golfer Chris Brown continued his successful freshman campaign this past week, and was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday as a result. It is already the third time this season that Brown has received the honor, with three of the four awards so far this year going to the Golden Tornado freshman.

Brown put together an excellent round at the Golden Eagle Invite hosted by Kent State Tuscarawas last Friday. He shot a 75 across the 18 holes, which put him in a tie for fourth place overall at the tournament. It is also tied for the 16^th-best round in program history.

With just two tournaments to play before the PAC Fall Championships, Brown's recent performance, as well as the scores of senior Ryan Edwards, have the Golden Tornadoes optimistic about their chances at this year's championships. They will play next in the Grove City Invitational on Monday, September 28, at the Grove City Country Club. The first golfers are set to tee off at 1:00 p.m.
