Football Announces 2020 Schedule

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – On Tuesday the Geneva College football program released its schedule for the upcoming 2020 season, and this season will see the Golden Tornadoes play six times in the friendly surroundings of Reeves Field, beginning with a home game against Wooster on September 5 to open the season.  In addition, Geneva will celebrate Homecoming on October 10 with a home game against rival Grove City.

Geneva's season-opener against Wooster will be the first time the Golden Tornadoes have opened the season at home since 2017, and the game will be Geneva's lone non-conference game.  Last season Wooster finished the year with a 6-4 record, including a 5-4 record in the North Coast Athletic Conference, good enough for sixth place.  It will be the first meeting between these two schools.

The Golden Tornadoes will open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play the following week when Geneva travels to Waynesburg on September 12.  The Golden Tornadoes will then host back-to-back games against Saint Vincent and Bethany before the calendar turns to October.

Highlighting the remainder of Geneva's schedule includes the Homecoming game on October 10 with Grove City, slated for a 3:00 p.m. start.  The Golden Tornadoes will also welcome Case Western Reserve, last season's PAC Champion, on October 24, with road games at W&J and Carnegie Mellon also on the schedule for the month in between Geneva's home games.  The Golden Tornadoes will enjoy their bye week on the last Saturday of the month, October 31.

Geneva closes the season with two games in November, beginning with a road game at Thiel on November 7, followed by a home game against rival Westminster on November 14 to finish the regular season.

All of Geneva's home games during the season will be evening contests, aside from the 3:00 p.m. Homecoming game against Grove City and Geneva's season-finale against Westminster, which will begin at 1:00 p.m.
