Nicholas Ciriello was named to the All-Region Second Team after leading the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) in tackles, and junior
Coltin Hill received Third Team All-Region recognition for his tremendous play along the Golden Tornadoes' defensive line.
Ciriello had an incredible senior season, finishing the year with a PAC-leading 120 tackles along with 15.0 tackles for loss, which was tied for the most in the PAC following the end of the regular season. He registered 3.0 sacks over the course of the season, forcing one fumble and recovering two more, including one which he returned for a touchdown in Geneva's 43-16 victory over Case Western Reserve on November 15th to close out regular season play. Following that performance at CWRU, Ciriello was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the first time in his career.
Hill developed into one of the top run-stoppers in the PAC this past season, notching 76 tackles, the most among all defensive linemen in the conference and 13
th overall in the PAC. He recorded 12.0 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks, both second-most on the team, and recovered two fumbles in addition.
Both Ciriello and Hill were named Second Team All-PAC selections as well this season. Hill will be one of the GTs' defensive anchors next season, while Ciriello is preparing to showcase his skills in the Canadian Football League (CFL) Combine this upcoming March.
