GREENVILLE, Pa. – On Monday afternoon Geneva senior Olivia Younger (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance on Saturday at the Raider Tune-Up on Saturday at Mount Union. It is the second time this season Younger has won this award.
Only three Golden Tornadoes made the trip to Mount Union on Saturday, as most of the team took the weekend off to prepare for the PAC Indoor Championships later this week. Younger was one of the Golden Tornadoes that competed, and she once again excelled in the 60-meter hurdles. She ran the top time in the preliminaries, and then she came in second place in the finals with a time of 9.28 seconds. She currently holds the top time this season in the PAC.
Both the men and women will head to Youngstown State on Thursday to take part in the PAC Indoor Championships. The men will be looking for their eighth straight PAC Championship, while the women will be competing for their first PAC Championship in program history.
