ALLIANCE, Ohio – Members of the Geneva women's track and field team turned in several key performances at the Mount Union Wuske Open on Saturday in Alliance, Ohio.
Senior
Naomi Swartzbaugh qualified for the women's finals in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a fourth-ranked time of 9.99 seconds in the preliminary heats. She finished ninth in the finals with a time of 10.01 seconds. Swartzbaugh also competed in the long jump (4.34 meters) and triple jump (9.16 meters).
Juniors
Jaci Mennetti and
Catherine O'Donnell placed in the top 10 in the 3,000 Meter Run. Mennetti finished fifth in a time of 11:35.80, while O'Donnell was eighth overall in 11:58.72.
Freshman
Emma Parnell placed sixth in the triple jump at 10.30 meters, while sophomore
Anne Holdeman placed 13
th in the long jump at 4.84 meters.
Select members of the team will compete in the National Christian Collegiate Athletics Association (NCCAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 10-11 at Cedarville University in Ohio.
