WARREN, Ohio – Senior
Austin Goehring led the Geneva College men's golf team on the first day of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championships on Monday. The PAC Championships consist of two rounds in the fall semester and two more final rounds at the end of the spring semester. Geneva is sitting in ninth place heading into the second round on Tuesday.
Goehring carded a 78 through the first 18 holes, tied for 15
th overall out of 50 golfers competing. He posted four birdies and an eagle in his round. Junior
Ryan Edwards was right behind with a 79, including two birdies. Sophomore
Linkoln Gundacker carded an 81, with two birdies, while senior
Mark Rachic rounded out the top four golfers for Geneva with an 89.
Tomorrow's round will represent the final round of the fall semester for the Golden Tornadoes.
