BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Senior Mackenzie Barricklow received a significant honor on Tuesday for her performance last week as she wrapped up her Geneva career. Barricklow was named to the women's D3Hoops.com Team of the Week which recognizes the top five players in all of NCAA Division III from the past week. She is the first women's player from Geneva to ever receive this honor.
Barricklow opened the week last Wednesday in her last home game as a Golden Tornado, and she finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals in a narrow loss to the Wolverines.
On Saturday at Franciscan, Barricklow exploded for a career day against the Barons. She totaled 30 points, a career-high, while knocking down 8-of-16 three-pointers to match the school record for most three-pointers made in a game. Barricklow also dominated on the boards, matching her career high with 19 rebounds. She added six assists and five steals in the impressive performance.
For the week, Barricklow closed out her career by averaging 24.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.0 blocks.
