Barricklow and Ulmer Honored as CSC Academic All-District Selections

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Senior Mackenzie Barricklow and junior Anna Ulmer were honored this week as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections for both their play on the court and their work in the classroom over the past year.

To be honored as an all-district selection, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, and must have played in at least 90% of games, or started 67% of games, over the course of the year.

Barricklow is wrapping up a degree in elementary and special education and was a key performer for the Golden Tornadoes this season on the court, starting all 25 games.  She averaged 10.6 points and 9.8 rebounds and wrapped up her career by hitting eight three-pointers at Franciscan, tying the school record, which earned her a spot on the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week.

Ulmer, a biomedical engineering major, played in all 25 games for Geneva this year, starting 19, and had her best season as a Golden Tornado.  She averaged 9.8 points and 5.1 rebounds while providing the women with a big defensive presence in the middle, leading the team in blocks.
