GREENVILLE, S.C. – Junior Emily Garvin had a tremendous first season playing for the Geneva College women's basketball team, and on Thursday she was honored by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) as a Third Team All-American selection.
Garvin was one of the top players in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) all year long, finishing with a league-best 19.7 points per game, while her scoring average was fourth in the NCCAA, which includes many scholarship programs in NCAA Division II and the NAIA.
Garvin was also top ten in the PAC in rebounds (7.4 per game), assists (3.1 per game), steals (2.5 per game), field goal percentage (49.2%) and free throw percentage (70.3%). She scored at least 25 points in seven games and twice scored 33 points in a game. It was one of the best statistical seasons in program history.
