BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Seven Golden Tornadoes from the Geneva College men's and women's tennis teams were honored this week by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) this week as Academic All-District selections for their performances this year athletically and academically. For the men, senior David Clark and sophomores Thayne Bodenmiller and Ethan Mullen were honored. For the women, senior Delaney Winterhalter and juniors Jenna Allison, Lauren Estes and CeJaelyn Perednia received the award.
To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. The players must also have competed in at least 70 percent of the team's matches throughout the season.
For Clark and Winterhalter, this is the third year they have received this honor, while Estes and Perednia have now received the honor the past two years.
