PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Geneva men's golf team got a nice showing from a number of players Tuesday afternoon against Carlow, with four of the six Golden Tornadoes that participated shooting 85 or below on the day. The men combined for a team score of 322, defeating the Celtics handily 322-381.
After shooting an 82 at La Roche yesterday, junior
Ryan Edwards followed up that performance with a match-best score of 75, taking the victory by two strokes. Just behind him was senior
Austin Goehring, who carded a 77 to rebound from an uncharacteristic showing the day before. Freshman
Wyatt Hervey was the third-best finisher for the men, shooting an 84 and taking fourth overall, and sophomore
Linkoln Gundacker rounded things up with an 86. Junior
Owen Bouscher (85) and graduate student
Mark Rachic (88) also participated in the match, but their scores did not count toward the overall team mark.
The men are set to play again this weekend, traveling to Ohio for the Franciscan Fall Invitational. The first tee time for that tournament is at 1:00 p.m.
