Garvin Named PAC Player of the Week

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Senior Emily Garvin was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after leading Geneva to two victories last week over Thiel and Waynesburg, making an impact in several categories on the box score.  This is the second time this year Garvin has earned PAC Player of the Week honor.

In Geneva's win over Thiel on Wednesday night, Garvin totaled 16 points (on 8-of-16 shooting) while adding eight rebounds, eight steals and five assists.  In Geneva's victory over Waynesburg on Saturday, she scored 15 points (on 6-of-12 shooting) while adding six rebounds, six assists and four steals.  For the week she averaged 15.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 steals and 5.5 assists.

Garvin and the Golden Tornadoes will go for their third straight victory on Wednesday when they travel to Westminster.  The tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
