BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Senior Emily Garvin became the first player in either men's or women's Geneva basketball history to be honored by D3Hoops.com on its Team of the Week three times in a season when she was recognized on Tuesday for her play last week, honoring the top five players in NCAA Division III from the prior week.
Garvin has been a stat machine all year, but especially down the stretch of the season. This past week, she averaged 20.0 points, 14.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 4.5 steals in wins over Hiram and Westminster that clinched a spot in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) postseason. For the season, Garvin is averaging 17.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.3 and 2.8 steals in leading the Golden Tornadoes into the playoffs.
Geneva's postseason will begin tonight in the PAC Quarterfinals with a road game at W&J beginning at 6:00 p.m.
