GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior Anna Ulmer was honored by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday for her strong performance both on the court and in the classroom from the Geneva College women's basketball team, earning CSC Academic All-District recognition.
To receive this distinction, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically while holding a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. Players must also have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games or been a starter in at least 66 percent of their contests.
Ulmer, who is wrapping up her degree in engineering this semester, was a key starter for the Golden Tornadoes this past season. She played in all 26 games, starting 24, while averaging 8.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. She also led the team with 23 blocks.
Ulmer was a two-sport standout for the Golden Tornadoes over her four years, earning All-PAC recognition on the women's soccer team while receiving academic honors multiple times across the two sports by both the CSC and the PAC.
