BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced its postseason awards for women's basketball Wednesday evening on the PAC Sports Network's All-PAC Selection Show, and Geneva senior
Emily Garvin was honored on the All-PAC Second Team. The recognition follows a tremendous second season for the talented two-way guard, who was among the leaders in the PAC in multiple statistical categories. It is the second season in a row that Garvin has been named to the All-PAC Second Team.
Garvin was one of the top players in the PAC all season long, finishing second in the conference in scoring (17.8 points per game), first in steals (2.8 per game), third in assists (5.2 per game) and seventh in rebounding (8.0 per game), leading the Golden Tornadoes in all of those categories as well. She was named the PAC Player of the Week four times over the course of the season, twice more than any other player in the conference. She also earned a spot on the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week three times, which is an award that recognized the top players throughout NCAA Division III for their performances the week prior.
Over the two seasons that Garvin played at Geneva, she scored 957 points, good enough for 17
th on the program's all-time scoring list. She scored her 1,000
th career point earlier this season, which included her point total from her freshman season at Grove City. Garvin will leave some big shoes to fill following her graduation at the end of this semester.
In addition to the all-conference awards, the PAC also announced the 12 players elected to the PAC Sportsmanship Team on Wednesday. Junior guard
