BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Senior Emily Garvin was named to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week on Tuesday, the second time she's received this national honor, the first women's player in program history to be honored twice. The award recognizes the top five players in NCAA Division III from the prior week of play.
Garvin narrowly missed out on a triple-double in Geneva's win at Westminster on Wednesday, finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. On Saturday, she narrowly missed out on becoming just the 11th player in Division III history to achieve a quadruple-double when she finished with 30 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists and nine steals in an overtime loss to Bethany.
For the week she averaged a triple-double with 23 points, 11.5 rebounds, 10.0 assists and 5.5 steals. She currently ranks second in the conference in points (18.6), seventh in rebounding (7.7), fourth in assists (5.1), second in steals (2.9), seventh in field goal percentage (47.3%) and sixth in free throw percentage (75.3%).
