GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Geneva women's golf team traveled north to compete in the Grove City Fall Invitational Monday afternoon, with multiple members of the Golden Tornadoes' squad participating. After having their last two tournaments canceled due to weather, it had been almost a month since the women had played competitively, meaning the Invitational provided some important competition experience with just one week remaining before the first round of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championships.

Junior Madison Sharek carded the best score of any of the women, shooting an 89 across the 18 holes to tie for fifth place overall out of 52 golfers. Sophomore Onika Alonzi was next for the GTs, carding a 108, while senior Sydney Peasley finished just two strokes behind her with a score of 110.

The tournament was the last of the semester for the women before they participate in the PAC Fall Championships, which are spread out over two days. Day one of the Championships is next Monday, October 12, with the first golfers set to tee off at 9:30 a.m.
