BOARDMAN, Ohio – Sophomore Madison Sharek is sitting in second place after day three of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships on Friday, hosted at the Mill Creek Golf Course. A total of 39 golfers will enter the final round of the championships tomorrow having completed the prior three rounds.
The first two rounds of the PAC Championships were completed at the end of the fall season, and Sharek was in third place after those two rounds. She improved one spot after Friday's round, carding an 81, which was the third best total among all the golfers. She has some work to do to catch Westminster's Katie Rose Rankin, who leads her by seven strokes after posting a round-best 77 on Friday.
Sophomore Onika Alonzi and junior Sydney Peasley are sitting in 28th and 31st place, respectively. Alonzi carded a 112 on Friday, while Peasley shot a 102.
The final round will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday on the North Course of the Mill Creek Golf Club.
