ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Geneva men's golf team sent two competitors to take part in Malone University's Fall Classic this weekend, with senior Ryan Edwards and freshman Chris Brown going up against mainly NCAA Division II competition. The tournament consisted of two rounds, one on Friday and one on Saturday, with the combined scores from each day determining the final leaderboard.

Both golfers fared well on day one, with Edwards carding a 74 and Brown coming in at 77. Edwards finished the round with three birdies and nine pars, while Brown notched two birdies of his own.

Edwards did not compete on the second day of the tournament, meaning Brown was the only Geneva representative present. He matched his score from the first day, shooting a 77 once again, though in the second round he managed three birdies. Overall, Brown tied for 24^th place out of the 52 golfers who completed both rounds.

Geneva travels to Waynesburg on Tuesday, September 8, to take part in the Jacket Tri-Valley Classic at Greene County Country Club. That tournament is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
