Women’s Golf Competes at Westminster Spring Invitational

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Geneva College women's golf team sent three golfers to Saturday's Westminster Spring Invitational on a chilly afternoon, with temperatures in the low 40s for most of the day.

Freshman Madison Sharek again led the team, carding an 84, including two birdies.  That score placed her sixth out of 34 golfers.  Senior Karlee Bittner and sophomore Sydney Peasley also competed, with the women navigating the challenging weather by shooting a 103 and 112, respectively.

Saturday's round was the last one before the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships in two weeks.  The championships will be held at the Mill Creek Metroparks North Course on April 25-26, with the women playing their final two rounds to add to their performances during the fall championships.
