BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Geneva women's golf team finished up their season Saturday afternoon at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, with freshman
Madison Sharek leading the way for the GTs as she has all season. Sharek carded an 85 on the final day of the tournament, and her combined score of 340 across the four rounds was the best mark of any freshman in the conference, earning her the PAC Newcomer of the Year award. As was the case yesterday, Geneva had just three golfers participating, rendering the Golden Tornadoes ineligible to compete for a spot in the final PAC Standings.
Sharek's round was good enough to put her in seventh place overall at the tournament, earning her All-PAC Second Team honors in addition to her Newcomer of the Year recognition. Senior
Karlee Bittner was the next-best finisher for Geneva, carding a 102 to finish in 21
st place. Sophomore
Sydney Peasley rounded out the women's scoring, shooting a 107 on the final day for her best score across all four rounds of the Championships.
