BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Geneva College women's golf team began the final two rounds of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Spring Championships on Friday at the Mill Creek Metroparks North Course. Freshman Madison Sharek built upon her two rounds in the fall to pace the Golden Tornadoes, who only had three players available to compete, which makes them unable to qualify in the team standings.
Sharek ended up carding an 83, just two away from the top round of the day. She is currently in a tie for fourth place overall in the three-round totals, just six away from first place heading into the final round. Senior Karlee Bittner shot a 95 and is tied for 19th overall in the standings, while sophomore Sydney Peasley was the third golfer for Geneva, carding a 112.
The final round of the championships will be played tomorrow at the same course, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
