ELLWOOD, Pa. – The Geneva College women's golf team took part in the Geneva Spring Opener on Monday afternoon at Connoquenessing Country Club, with Bethany and Waynesburg also competing in the match. Sophomore Madison Sharek was the top score out of the ten golfers competing, with Geneva finishing with a team score of 450.
Sharek carded an 87, the only golfer to break 90 on the course. Sophomore Onika Alonzi shot a 108, while junior Sydney Peasley finished with a 114.
The women will return back to the course after Easter Break when they take part in the Bethany Spring Invitational on Thursday, April 8.
