Geneva College Athletics

Alan “Punkin” Rose was a dangerous weapon out of the backfield for Geneva’s football team during his career from 1979 through 1982.  Rose finished his career with 1,978 rushing yards, including a 5.35 yards per carry average.  He also finished his career with 59 catches for 598 receiving yards, and he also proved to be a dangerous punt returner for the Golden Tornadoes.  His 6.7 yards per rush average in 1982 is second-best in school history for a single season.
