Zack Hayward was a prolific passing quarterback for the Golden Tornado football team from 2010-2013.  He was a three-year starter who compiled 6,263 career passing yards and 42 passing touchdowns, both sixth in school history.  He was also a threat on the ground, compiling 900 rushing yards and four touchdowns.  He holds the single season record for passing yards (3,219) and completion percentage (63.9%) from his 2013 season.  Hayward also holds single-game passing records with 535 yards and 7 touchdowns against Frostburg State in 2012, and he holds four of the top five single-game passing records after throwing for over 400 yards four times in his career.
