Alured "Slim" Ransom
Ransom was a head coach in three sports for the Golden Tornadoes during his four years at Geneva in the 1940’s. His football team won District Class B Championships in 1946 and 1947, while his basketball squad also experienced significant success. Ransom also helped oversee the Geneva men’s track and field program, and he would later go on to coach the Afghanistan national team that made its first appearance in the Olympics in 1960.
