Geneva College Athletics

Jim Traficant was a two-sport standout for the Golden Tornadoes in the early 1980’s, starring for both the men’s basketball team and the baseball team.  His best season on the basketball court came during his junior year when he averaged 17.8 points per game.  He was an even better baseball player, finishing his career as a .380 hitter, including his senior season when he finished with a .426 batting average.  He was named an NAIA All-American in 1982 and received NAIA All-District recognition in both 1982 and 1983.
