Dr. Ken Hartman (1968-2004)

Dr. Ken Hartman served Geneva College as a professor of Chemistry from 1968 to 2004 and served as the chair of that department for nine years. Following retirement, he served as a part-time faculty member in Geneva’s Degree Completion Program in 2011. Dr. Hartman, along with several students who were involved in a club soccer program formed in 1970, is credited with the development of Geneva’s men’s varsity soccer program in 1972. Serving as the team’s first head coach, Dr. Hartman led the Golden Tornadoes to a 5-6-1 record in their inaugural season.
