Troy Nesmith currently sits at number 16 on Geneva’s all-time scoring list. What is most impressive about Nesmith’s 1,402 points is that it was achieved in just two seasons. During his two years with the Golden Tornadoes, Nesmith was named an NAIA All-American as a freshman and then a first-team selection following his sophomore year. Nesmith’s 709 points is a Geneva freshman record and ranks sixth all-time for a single season. He then scored 693 points as a sophomore in leading the Golden Tornadoes to back to back NAIA national tournament appearances. In his two seasons at Geneva, Nesmith and the Golden Tornadoes posted an overall record of 50-13.
