Bill Butler
(1925-28)

Bill Butler (1925-28) is perhaps the greatest track and field athlete to ever don a Geneva uniform. Butler’s achievements have stood the test of time as he still holds the Geneva College record in the 100 meter (9.8 seconds), 220 yard dash (22.0 seconds) and the 440 yard dash (48.8 seconds). Butler was a top sprinter in the East holding the distinction of winning the first track meets held at Pitt Stadium and Reeves Field, and he also competed in the 1925 Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
