Col. Joe Thompson

Thompson came over from Ireland in 1898 and enrolled at Geneva College that same year.  He immediately became a basketball star, while also participating in football, wrestling and gymnastics.  He served Geneva as a player-coach for three seasons, and the Golden Tornadoes went an impressive 26-3-3 in those seasons.
