Geneva College Athletics

Hawkins had a prolific career on the diamond for Geneva.   In 1985, his .457 batting average is still the Geneva single season record, and his career batting average of .392 is also tops in school history.  Because of his great offensive numbers, he was recognized as a NAIA All-District player three times and a NAIA All-American once.  He went on to sign a professional contract with the New York Mets.
